Objectives

When you are a transport operator providing bus services in specific pockets of the UK, the focus is all about the local community. Finding relevant rewards is vital – better still, make rewards available along the bus route. That’s why Arriva came to us to help them develop a passenger rewards programme to increase ticket sales and encourage bus travel.

The results aren’t in yet as the campaign is still running, but here is what our lovely client had to say:

Local. There’s something we know a thing or two about. Our amazing mapping software (along with some real life map reading thrown in for good measure) meant we quickly identified attractions that fell within hundreds of Arriva’s bus routes.
We successfully recruited over 300 attractions to take part which ranged from zoos, indoor play centres, museums and sport centres, swimming pools and snowboard & ski centres.

Over 300,000 households serviced by Arriva received a leaflet that highlighted their local bus routes and key offers in their area. Anyone purchasing a ticket had access to all of the great local offers when they registered on the website and downloaded their promotional voucher. The campaign was also supported by local radio advertising along with an integrated social media and local press campaign.
