Aztec launches it's biggest ever promotion in a decade!
January 2008 saw the launch by Tetley (the UK's favourite tea brand) of one of the industry's biggest-ever customer loyalty promotions. Running for 6 months across the entire spectrum of retail accounts, 'FREE Fun for everyone!' was developed by Aztec Marketing in association with Geoff Howe Marketing Communications.
FREE Fun for everyone! enshrined the proposition that there is something for everyone by offering an all-encompassing and geographically comprehensive choice of '2-for-1' vouchers, free offers, deals and savings on literally hundreds of leisure activities, sports, holidays and days out. There really was something for everyone!
The challenge for Aztec was to not only come up with a diverse range of offers, but also make sure there would be a strong geographical spread of offers to suit everyone. Leisure activities include; Golf, Fitness, Hair & Beauty, Hotels, Holidays, Comedy, Theatre tickets, Film Rental, Photography and many more.
Consequently this became the biggest promotion that Aztec had ever run, utilising over 20 third party partners and 3,000 attractions and sporting activities. The customer was asked to visit the promotional website and enter in their unique reference code which was printed on each pack in order to register and obtain a number of tea bag credits. Each number of credits then entitled the customer to a particular level of saving across the diverse range of offers. In addition to the offers online, each customer was rewarded instantly with a '2 for 1' Merlin voucher which included access to all of their attractions including Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures & zoo, LEGOLAND Windsor, SEALIFE/Sanctuaries, the Dungeons and many more!
Throughout the promotion there was also free online prizes along with retailer specific tailor-made competitions at ASDA, Morrissons and Tescos. The promotion launched on 1st January 2008 and was on-shelf for 6 months with all offers valid until 31st December 2008.
